As a discretionary overdraft service, First Bank&Trust may cover your overdraft/insufficient funds items up to an approved limit in case you make a mistake or accidentally overdraw your account. For each overdraft item paid, a $25 per item fee will be assessed to the account. This may prevent checks from being returned to merchants who may also assess additional charges for handling a returned item for you. This program is designed as an occasional courtesy or privilege and should not be abused.

*NOTE: Certain other fees, restrictions and approval apply. Whether your overdrafts will be paid in discretionary, and we reserve the right not to pay. We typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have too many overdrafts. Overdraft item fees are applied to overdrafts created by check, in-person withdrawal, ATM or Debit Card withdrawal, or other paper or electronic means.
